Proportions man. Bayonetta's are all over the place. She doesn't look that monstrous in-game because everyone else is similarly broken.

Bayonetta is huge. Which is actually fairly standard for superhero design. Or at least not completely out of the norm, particularly for villains.... Used to be around 9 heads in jack Kirby's days,

But, once people really started thinking about SUPERhumans, it shot well past 12.

now we are looking at typically anywhere from 10-14.

And yeah, like you said, if you pay attention to her surroundings, for example, that horizontal bar behind bayonetta was very purposefully placed there. Its about the size of a tall six foot man. you will find bayonetta is every bit the monster proportionally as Madama butterfly. Which probably happened when she made the pact to become her mortal avatar for the powers. I think its important to remember this isnt a mistake... Bayonetta IS a monster.

Same with Wonder Blue and Dante

I keep seeing Wonder Blue as a Dante from a Saturday morning Cartoon. Wonder Red design is no doubt a nod to Viewtiful Joe. PG's past work seems to have nods to thier days at Capcom as well. Madworld Little Eddie is a knock on EL Gigante.

I hope The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2 aren't the only games that Platinum Games are planning to release on the Wii U.

'Summer' with Nintendo can mean like September. :/ I'm kinda surprised it won't be a simultaneous release given how it caters much more to the west. Oh well.
