I will consider this when pro review site opinions matter.
This man will raise his hand when that happens.
Seriously to me pro review sites opinions are usually pretty worthless last several years so I either play myself or che.k out Youtube reviews from channels I trust

I'm not even mad, kinda expected this. I feel that a fair amount of reviewers had the backing emotion of 'another platformer' in their minds when they reviewed Tropical Freeze. That, couple with 3 months until the next big Nintendo game, would've likely effected scores.
I wasn't even intent on getting this game. Even if the scores were great like that privileged guy told us in the past, I don't particularly like platformers and am more than happy to wait until Nintendo brings out a game in a genre that I do like.

Game Informer gave them a 93, Gamespot is also know for giving good games bad scores. Only way I'd let reveiwers scores affect me is if everyone gave it under 5 and even then I'd still try the game before passing judgement.

Why would ninty put a gamespot quote in their dkctr reviews trailer?
Maybe they didn't know the actual score? Or this is wrong/fake?

Just out of curiosity, was GameSpot the place that gave Luigi's Mansion 2 a 7/10 and declared that the game was "way too hard?"

Apparently McShea wasn't happy that Retro didn't make another Metroid game instead.
Here's the preview article:

Yup, I'm pretty sure that's accurate. Gamespot can't handle the difficult ones, lol. We've already seen several high review scores for Tropical Freeze, and anyone who ever takes anything Gamespot writes about Nintendo seriously should probably just join the forums there and stay for awhile. This review means absolutely nothing.

McShea is an awful reviewer anyway tbh.
