Although we were all excited when Nintendo extended the Year of Luigi in 2014, all things must, sadly, come to an end 
Miyamoto has now confirmed that the Year of Luigi will be conclude on March 18th, 2014. Here's the official Miiverse post:
The good news: this may be hinting at a new Miiverse game coming before the Year of Luigi ends!

If something was coming out next month, we'd know by now.
Unless it's something we nor Nintendo care about.
Not necessarily. Look at E3. THAT'S ALL SURPRISES. Nintendo does this sort of stuff A LOT!

I will admit, it does seem weird to say "it concludes March 18th" without having any game announcements of some sort for that date.
Otherwise, it's just an arbitrary date...so why not just end it now?

That's why I edited my post to exclude titles we nor Nintendo care about.Not really, there's been a lot of Eshop games which come came out the same day they were announced.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon immediately comes to mind, as well as NSLU.

I'll be glad to see it gone. No offense to Luigi but I thought this was a really stupid thing to focus on for an entire year. How about we get a year of Nintendo IPs that we haven't seen for years. I'd like to see that year.

Wish Nintendo would do a 'Year of Metroid/Samus' but Nintendo didn't even celebrate Metroid's 25th anniversary like they did for Mario and Zelda, those bastards.
