What do you think is the best RPG ever made? I'm gonna be cruel and make you rank them XD

I've put up the poll and, since there's so many, I'm gonna do it in rounds... 5 days between each

• Round 1: Which Final fantasy and Dragon Quest Series is best? (2 polls) 25/11 - 30/11 WINNERS: Both Main Series

• Round 2: Which Final Fantasy game, dragon quest game and kingdom hearts game is best in that series. (3 polls) 30/11 - 5/12

• Round 3: Best Radiant Historia, best Tales of symphonia and best skies of arcadia games. (3 polls) 10/12 - 15/12

Tales of Symphonia has the handicap of being my first RPG, though.

I don't normally play RPGs to be honest, so I'm going to pick Pokemon Ruby. It was the first Pokemon game I played and none of the newer games have bettered it IMO.

Have you played black/White yet? I find that they are better then Ruby

Not yet. To be honest, I can't decide whether I want it or not. On the one hand, it seems quite different from the previous Pokemon games and it looks very good. On the other hand, I'm not keen on the Pokemon I've seen in the game so far, which is quite a big factor for me. Some of the pokemon from Black/White just look stupid to me, such as this one:

Gen 1 had a pile of radioactive gunk. That's not clever design.

Pokemon Ruby (I put over 400 hours into it. I stopped playing Pokemon when HG/SS rolled along, but still have fond memories of this)
Children of Mana
FF 2 and 1
FF CC Echoes of Time

Skies of Arcadia (Dreamcast)
Valkyria Chronicles (PS3) It's more a tactical RPG but an RPG none the less and I dare say the best game I have played this console generation.

Buy Radiant Historia NOW! Tales of Symphonia is a super popular game, so you won't have problems finding it, Radiant Historia, on the other hand, is a super underrated game that will most likely be really expensive soon.

Your top priority should be Radiant Historia if you ever want to play it.

Skies of Arcadia: Legends (IE. The Gamecube version with added stuff, slightly better graphics and a MUCH lower random encounter rate.)

Best RPG ever made. Ever.
Anyone who argues otherwise hasn't played it, or has it as a tie.

Kingdom hearts series. I liked that it wasn't all traditional and almost seemed like more of a action game. Other than that, I like FF13, I thought the gameplay was kind of clever.

I think my number one is Ogre Battle 64 (N64) or Eternal Sonata (XBOX360). They're quite different kind of RPG games that it's actually quite hard to say which one is better.

It should/is one of the highest rating series. Since this is just for RPG not RPG series, I guess I'll add KH 2 to the list.

Also; I stand by my statement. Bastion plays... like a boss
