Lol little bit out of your price range buddy? No jk i usually have to be dead set on getting it if its that much for an eshop game, but this ones from ubisoft and looks reayy good so im sure it will be worth it.
You can just never tell when it comes to 'indies' even though this isn't technically an indie title. Some of them are completely worth the price while others just aren't, and we have a LOT of side scrolling indie games as is. I either need to be totally in love with the game or the price has to be right. $9.99 is usually the most I'm willing to spend unless I'm completely sure I'll love the game.
Otherwise I'll tend to wait until it's on sale or move on and look at something else. I have the luxury of being choosy at the moment since between my 3DS and Wii U I've accumulated a hell of a backlog of games, many of which are some sort of RPG with lots of replay value. I still need to finish The World Ends With You, the first Castlevania DS title, Shin Megami Tense IV, Bravely Default, Xenosaga, and Pandora's Tower. Then there are a few games I haven't even touched yet along with games that I've 'beaten' but am far from being done with.
On the topic of Indies and sales though, I really REALLY hope that Nintendo does more Indie promotions like that one they had a month ago where if you bought one you could get the others at a huge discount. I think those sorts of things really help establish indies on the system.
