Nintendo has been low-key about its indie in-roads, but a new move from the company signals a more public push into the market. It has opened a dedicated online hub to indie titles on its eShops, highlighting a few of the more than 1,000 indie games published on 3DS and Wii U.

 

The hub features a few selections like SteamWorld Dig and Cave Story, and directs viewers to the full eShop for more.

This is great, but I feel Nintendo should be quick to be the one who takes the next step first.<br /><br />Indy games are great, but they dont have the.... Budget, the staff, to really realize much beyond snes/gba level games, or games smaller in scope.<br /><br />Nintendo should give some of them a chance to take control of a, at least ps2/wii game size budge and have them show us what they can do.
