Has anyone downloaded Pure Chess yet?  Just wondering if there are any impressions as I haven't seen a review.  I'd like to know about the different game modes and whether it's easy to find online matches.

chess has multiple gamemodes?

Typically, chess games have your standard game type (some have optional rules), and a mode where you have to checkmate in a certain number of moves in what looks like a bearing endgame. I remember one on an old phone where you only used knights in order to win. I think it was literally titles "Knights".

Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON

Not played chess in years but tempted as the game is freaking georgous. Looks good enough to be a Shin'en Game. Shallow maybe but that alone makes me want to try chess again lol

yes.

There is the normal game, and a series of challenge modes, mate in 1-5 moves, with each set having about 20 problems.

Multiplayer is multiplatform as well.
