Welcome to Wii 2 Boards, Ostro, the largest forum in the world dedicated to the Wii's successor. I'm Feld0, the one who owns this place as well as Wii 2 Blog. If you don't mind me asking, what forum did you see a signature on, and what did it look like? I'm just curious.

Cool to finally have another coder here! I think you're the third one, after Wertville and myself. What programming languages are you familiar with?

Programming stuff I know (not that much ):
php / (My)SQL
Javascript
jQuery/Ajax (just started)
(little Java)
and mandatory stuff (HTML, CSS(getting into 3), ...)

There are a few sites you could take a look at, but I never really finished one due to rare spare time http://mk-wii.de/ is one of those


I'm so hyped I can't remember being hyped for a console since the Gamecube was announced.

I'm so hyped I can't remember being hyped for a console since the Gamecube was announced.

I'm pretty familiar with HTML and CSS, but I honestly really don't know all that much about SQL or Javascript, so it seems you may actually be a little ahead of me (believe it or not, Wii 2 Blog and Wii 2 Boards are my first real website projects). I'm learning real fast, though. Still, if you code something super-awesome for the site together, by some chance, feel free to let me take a look at it.

Your Mario Kart Wii fan site looks awesome, by the way (and a quick FYI, I can read it, too - I speak German ). I see that you used phpBB for the forums, but is the rest of it custom-coded?

Yeah, the rest is all custom-coded (actually a lot of it needs to be revamped because it's years old and looks quite dirty now). I just relied on phpBB because I like the way it handles profiles. I've got a test up somewhere to implement a full site profile; right now it's only possible to connect the profile to the rankings.

I might code something when I'm bored ^^ need to learn things about this software (and the blog's) first, though. Getting the profiles onto the blog would be the first thing I'd do
