I ripped Winter Wrap Up out of my copy of the show so I can listen to it on my 3DS and computer. I don't mind sharing, so I'll post my rip on here for all of you to enjoy. I've ripped it using the most lossless process possible from a super high-quality 1080p video, so it should sound crystal-clear (especially the FLAC version!). Would anyone be interested in a full rip of the rest of the soundtrack?

Attached File  Winter Wrap Up.mp3   8.18MB   127 downloads
Attached File  Winter Wrap Up.flac   19.94MB   110 downloads

I tried in the morning but I have yet to edit it completely. I'll probably have it up by tommorow
EDIT: I have to edit my voice a lot
EDIT 2: My Stupid VIDEO NEVER SAVES!! :(. So while I'm working on fixing the problem, I'll whet your tastebud with the offical video the Maker made.

Looks awesome enough. I'm looking forward to your own video of it, Lord N. :)

Thanks. I'm still trying. It's a problem with the program I'm using to Play+record, not with my hard drive
Also, what can play .Flac files?

Windows Media Player can handle FLAC files as easily as MP3's if you install a couple of programs. You'll need the Xiph.Org DirectShow filter to give WMP the ability to decode and play the files, and WMP Tag Plus to allow WMP to read the artist, song title, and other info out of the file.

Nope. 35 try's and it still hasn't worked. I'm going to try 15 more times, after that I'm sorry, but I don't have the patience to have Programs crap out on me.

Good video Lord N. I'm glad you got it to work eventually. The only criticism I'd give, is that the sound quality isn't great. It looks like a pretty cool mod, although I find it really weird to see ponies walking on two feet.

Thanks. Which part of the sound wasn't that good? the Voice-work or the background soundtrack? I ask because I wish to improve with each video I do

I think it's the voice-work. There's points in the video where it sounds a bit crackly. The game itself sounds fine.

So, 37 tries, eh? That's what I call dedication!

There are a few things you should work on for future videos. First off, don't windowbox it (meaning, don't leave any black space around the actual video). There's really absolutely no point to doing that.

Second, the sound. A couple of things here. For one, I found that your voice and the game sound weren't balanced very well. The game sound was overpowering your voice, so you should turn that down when editing it together. I would recommend recording the game's sound and your microphone on two separate tracks (or three, if the game's running in stereo). And with all due respect, your microphone isn't the greatest, either - if you're really serious about making lots of videos in the future, you may want to consider investing in an external mic like this one.

Lastly, a couple of notes on a few things you said: thank you for pronouncing my name right! :D And, people who aren't on this forum might find it a bit confusing when you referred to the bronies at "the Wii U". You might want to say it as "the Wii U dot com" or even "the Wii U Forums".

Something else you may want to consider is linking to the original trailer of the game by its creator, as it includes download links and whatnot. You might even want to think about posting your vid as a video response to it.

Now, because you asked for computer advice, I'll give you that, too. You're falling for the very common misconception that Macs are better with multimedia work like animation and music than PC's. Really, they're not, unless you have an important need for Mac-only software (like Final Cut Pro, Keynote, etc.). You said you'd like to work with Flash, and as a Flash developer myself, I can tell you that it's functionally identical on both platforms. There is really only one difference I could find, and it's not even that big: on Mac, every toolbar opens in its own window on the screen where they appear inside a "master" window on Windows. However, as you can still drag them around anywhere on the screen to your liking, it really only means that there's a ton of gray on Windows where you'd see your desktop background on Mac. Purely cosmetic. Other than that, Flash is exactly the same on Mac and Windows.

Windows computers are generally far better value for the amount of computing power you get than Macs. For $1000, you'll get yourself the lowest-end MacBook Air, the specs of which frankly suck. For less than that same price, you could get yourself a mid-range machine instead that would be able to run a lot of games quite comfortably, like this one. Especially as a student, unless you have a true, legitimate need for Mac OS X, you'll be paying a huge premium for the Apple brand, and will ultimately get less computer for your dollar.

I could help you with looking for a computer via PM, if you need it. This is, after all, the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic thread, not a computer talk thread. :P

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm just starting out, and I won't start my major project( A Let's Play of Epic Mickey, 100%) until I have nearly everything up and running in my recording set up. Anyways, I'll send you a PM about this later tonight.

I somehow imagined your vocie to sound a little different.

I don't have much criticism, besides that you should balance the game volume and your mic volume. Also your mouth might be a little too close to the mic, but maybe it's just your mic and you should do what Feld0 recommend.

Thanks for uploading this.

For me? Um...

I'd have to say Trixie as she's pretty useless to the series imo...

Edit: After reading gamecollector's post, I gotta agree, Photofinish was pretty annoying...
