So I have a pretty good set up Just want to get more Ram and a new card basically Ill post my specs but IDK much about it since I didn't actually build it.

 

Operating System-Windows Vista-Home Premium 6.0

System Manufacturer- HP PAVILLION 

Processor-INTEL CORE 2 QUAD CPU 9300 @ 2.50 GHZ (4 CPUS) 2.5 GHZ

Memory-3326mb (I actually have more but since Im running Vista I cant use it all)

Direct X version: DirectX11 (latest and greatest)

 

Display

AMD ATI RADEON HD 4800 SERIES 

CHIP TYPE:ATI DISPLAY ADAPTER (OX9440)

DAC TYPE: INTERNAL DAC (400MHZ)

TOTAL MEMORY:2425

Current Display:1920x1080

 

Basically I want a NVIDIA TI GEFORCE CARD THAT I CAN USE A NVIDIA SHIELD WITH AND I WANT TO UPGRADE FROM VISTA TO WINDOWS 7 (64BIT) AND I WANT TO GO FROM 6GB OF RAM TO 8GB OF RAM SO I CAN RUN WATCH DOGS/TITANFALL ETC. AT HIGH SETTINGS)

 

ALSO IF YOUR WONDERING MY GAMING PC IS CAPABLE OF PLAYING ESO ON ULTRA, BORDERLANDS 2 ON ULTRA, AND I CAN MAX OUT DIABLO 3 WITH MINOR LAG (NOT THE COMPUTERS PROBLEM ITS MY MOUSE) Ill POST LINKS TO THE IDEAL CARD I WANT, BUT I JUST NEED HELP FINDING SOMETHING WITHIN THE BALLPARK.

Looks like a pre-assembled Best Buy computerbox.

 

Since you want to slap in more of the rams and get a beefier video card, you might have to get a new power supply for the thing.

 

Replacing RAM literally involves taking the old ram out, and putting new ram in. You might have to go to the BIOS to make sure your new RAM will be clocked at 1866.

also what mother board do you have. just post a picture. 

 

also you will need to go manually upgrade your ram speed to get above 1600/1300. 

 

GPU matches up price wise though.

intentially overshoot with the power supply. dont get the bare minimum.

that link will help you find cheap versions of the same part. should be able to get the same ram at half the cost. 

 

i would not go by its power supply recommendations though.

Also, you probably can't use that RAM because most LGA775 chipset motherboards can only support DDR2 RAM clocked at 1366 at its absolute highest.

 

DDR2 ram is hella expensive nowadays.

 

At this point, you should basically build an entirely new computerbox.

Im amazed your pc can even run honestly, its super low end. Plus with how old it is/what you want to do you are better off building from the ground up

Im not gonna lie dude, while processing power wise you are going to still be doing pretty good... For those last gen games you mentioned.... Upgrade wise your future is looking pretty limited.

That T socket probably isnt going to be compatable with any ram you can find, or even WANT to find on store shelves.

Unless you have an X48, X38, or P45 board, you can forget about upgrading ram.

Even if you did, these boards really dont make much benefit out of ddr3 anyways.

Id highly suggest scrapping the c2 and getting an icore.

Probably scratch up an i5 for 300 easy, add in ram and a good deal on a midrange gpu, and you can put an xbone to shame for less than it costs.

Just keep in mind, all amd partnership games are going to require an 8core cpu for minimal specs, as part of a promo deal to help amd move their horrible cpu's..... (stupid beroucratical bs needs to stay away from mah games!!!!)

So basically seeing as how im trying to Future proof my PC setup I really should just start from scratch?

 

If im looking to build a new one id like to have 16 to 32 gb of ram and a nvidia titan card with at least 2gb of ram on it.

 

I know that sounds ridiculous I just want to keep from upgrading for years to come.

 

Ive considered buying a steam machine but idk if that would be the right route.

 

My budget can range from 500-1000.

if your budget maxes out at 1k no way in hell you're getting a titan, besides, its not even the best card you can get, the 780ti is better and its $300 cheaper
and you only need 8gb of ram, 16 is pushing it, 32 is over kill, I only have 16gb because I edit a lot of videos and do a lot of work in maya etc
as for what you should buy etc, unlike most people I can throw money down the drain so I'm not the best to give a parts list especially when you could find the smae thing (or something better) for cheaper

Buy a laptop. Geforce GT 750M, Core i7-4200u, 8 GB RAM... they run about $850-$900.
