Nintendo's official UK store is listing this at the standard retail price of £249.99, while retailer GAME is yet to add a listing. Nintendo has also released the following trailer to show the various purchasing options.

Well, it looks like Nintendo is as smart as everyone was hoping they would be.  Confirmed for Europe and Australia, not yet for NA.

I hope it means discounts on eShop games and online game save storage. but most likely it's there to cover the cost of online multiplayer servers.

Or, you know, it could be the digital promotion that's been with every deluxe system since the beginning.

I hope the premier account is something similar to PS+, although since it's Nintendo, it could literally be anything, heck 1 of those things could be nothing!!!

I might shell out $50 a year for a few free games every month......

That's likely what it is. I suspect others have got the wrong end of the stick. If it was anything like PS Plus or even a subscription to play online then it would have been all over the Internet.

You say 'only' Mario Kart 8 like 35 million people didn't buy Mario Kart Wii.

It will boost system sales that's unquestionable, but by just how much? Nintendo games for the first few weeks tend to see a lot of units shifted only for those sales to tail off after a few weeks. I hope Mario kart 8 is able to combat this and helps boost Wii U sales for many months to come.
