You say 'only' Mario Kart 8 like 35 million people didn't buy Mario Kart Wii.

 

That does not matter now. I almost feel like people are avoiding the WiiU just out of spite just to keep things bad. I know that's a stretch. Anyway 2d Mario on Wii sold about 30 million copies and how much has 2d Mario sold on WiiU? The install base just is not there for massive sales the best we can hope for is mk8 being marketed properly by nintendo and sadly who knows how they will market it.

It's great, plenty of online races can always be found. It's my go to portable online game for the 3ds.

Well only 6m people have a WiiU now so are you saying 30m people will go out & spend £250 on a WiiU just to play MK8 ?

 

If i didn't already have a WiiU i wouldn't buy a WiiU to play it.

I think its a given that Mario Kart 8 will boost system sales but its not a system seller so we are not going to see dramatic long term or even short term increases in system sales solely due it.

Did MK7 on the 3DS not make the exact same fiscal sense?
