They are just mushrooms. Even if it was Metroid. Legit other Nintendo series have appeared in Zelda before
The first one is an easter egg, and the second one is in the code of the game, but you have to hack the code to see it.

But it was still in the game, meaning it was planned to be put into the game at one point so it still counts
Well, I've finally found my Starfox, and I love it.

They aren't serious parts of the game that you find and interact with so they don't count at all.

Which are all in jokes and references. Not integral game design.

Damn man you're thick. You asked why Metroid were in the image. I said they are shrooms but even if it was legit and had metroids would not be the first time other Nintendo series mad it into Zelda. ESP Links Awakening where you fight a Mario boss. Use a chain chomp to get through a dungeon NEEDED to finish the game and a Yoshi doll to give to a family as a side quest.
Also even if they were not needed what does that have to do with anything? FFS. The question and answer were simple.Q: Why a another Nintendo series showing up in Zelda A: Been done before many times and to further answer yet again. YES you have needed to use some of these references to even complete the game at all.

I think you have lost track of what you were arguing about....
However, the chain chomp absolutely is integral to links awakening, you literally cannot progress through the game without its gameplay mechanics.
And past that, piranha plants, goombas, and even kirby were cameo enemies in links awakening.
Which is the exact same situation you are talking about.
And finally, metroids are also enemies in the kid icarus series.
Chain Chomp and Metroids in Kid Icarus are the first actual examples of Integral game content you have cited. Which is exactly what I was arguing all along. Therefore I concede the point.
