So, like OMG guys... I didn't call, but I did send an email. I don't know if that did any good (I never got a response), but just now when I logged onto Club Nintendo, the option for my free game popped up, and I have the confirmation code and everything. 
Yay, unexpected happy ending!

i ran into some trouble as well, I tried all yesterday to get the code but it kept kicking me off until this morning when I logged onto club nintendo. it went right through and I got the code and downloaded wind waker HD!!! That was my happy ending.

Wii Party U finished downloading today. So far i like it, even though the gameplay IS different than Mario party. It's not as great as MP8, but much better than MP9. Around the same level as Island Tour.

yeah you can, but online wouldnt be wise as your internet is getting smashed by the download.
knock out some offline stuff and youll be fine.
i personally got LOZ WW HD, but it was tight between that and Monster Hunter or Pikmin or Wonderful 101...i
