Oh my gooodnesssssssssss, the series is dead now. We literally jumped from Tobi (Obito), to Madara, and now Black Zetsu is the series final villain.
I'm glad it's ending this year.

Given that the tree was talking, and they kept bringing up kaguya, something was gonna happen. Also what happens when you keep giving the villain too many power-ups. You write yourself into a corner, and you almost have to pull some sort of BS to make it work. I also recall reading that the author stated he was having trouble figuring out how to stop Madara.
Of course, the chapter was also sort of redeemed by Sasuke finally telling Sakura she is useless. Someone had to say it.

Do people actually read/watch shonen stuff for the plot? Finding a good one by those standards sounds rather difficult. I like Naruto, but that's really only for the fight scenes. Most of the plot can walk off a cliff, and I wouldn't notice. Really, the only member of team 7 I like as a character is Kakashi. Naruto is standard shonen lead character, Sasuke required a quadruple old man monologue to realize he was being stupid, and Sakura is Sakura.
