do you have proof? no thats what i thoughtIt's G4, what should you expect? SS won "the fan's" GOTY on G4 while the critics had their own competition.
In other news, Skyrim won game of the year in Spike's contest a while back.
GOTY is a terrible contest idea to begin with, as each major network holds their own.
You've complained about this game several times and I have yet to see any of your complaints to actually be true. All I know is that the PS3 version does suck, though.

hardcoreufan, have you played Skryim? I bet you played skyward sword, thats why you are so much for it. Someone who hasn't played both games should not say the other game is better. Skyrim is more complex. Skyrim is bigger. Skyrim has more play time. This is some factors that g4 considered when picking. They agree that skyward sword is great also, they are not saying it is terrible.
What I'm trying to say, you can't really judge a game until you have actually played it.
do you have proof? no thats what i thought
This has just got to the point of being aggressive.

I've already taken this over to PM, if Hardcoreu agrees with me, we will agree to disagree. This has just got to the point of being aggressive.
Anyway....
If not and people want to actually debate, I would rather make a thread about debating.

Pyro also has the right to his own opinion, if someone said Skyward Sword sucks because they don't like motion control you would also defend it.
Also, stop being so rude.

Looks like you have just made an unneeded enemy, boy. We could have settled this civilly through PM, like I tried earlier, but you will be getting no more sympathy from me.i have the right to my own opinion if your gonna get butthurt don't reply thats all thankyou
This was our business to begin with, so why aren't you saying something to N or gamecollecter? Probably because you couldn't handle this on your own.and please mind your own business before you call people supposed wolves.

Everyone calm down.
Pyro, I never saw your statement as being only towards hcUf. I thought it was an open statement to everyone. I apolgize if I was being rude to you. I will admit Skyrim will have glitches given it's size, but some of the glitches could have been fixed had Bethesada not stated it was 11/11/11 when they first showed it.
As about hcUf, please, just give up. Both of you are allowed your opinion, so just admit you can't win every battle. Seriously, I was at least attempting to be civil. You clearly are not.

You do have the right to voice your opinion. Oh, and it is my business. This is a online forum, and this is a public thread. I can participate in any thread I please as long as I abide to the rules of this forum. I also have the right to respond to other users if they have posted in this thread and I saw your behavior in this thread is rude, unnecessary, and aggressive so I thought I would also voice my opinion because after all you admitted that we have the right to voice our opinions. Also, if you have a problem with a user be civilized and pm them if you want to get personal with them. Also there is a difference of voicing your opinions/possessing them, and shoving them down other peoples throat. You can debate civilly without getting personal and voice your opinion. You are the one who was making this personal in the first place. So please, stop taking this stuff so personal. If you have problem and want to make this personal, I would be glad to discuss this with you over a private message.
*ahem*
Back on topic. This whole game of the year thing is clearly unfair for two reasons.
1. The people have already voiced their opinions on which game is superior through voting polls and yet they chose the one that lost showing clear bias.
2. Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim are clearly different types of games. Skyrim is a open-world games and with every open world game there are a lot of glitches while skyward sword is not a open world game.
Also, every successful open world game has had tons of glitches. This is not a unusual thing.

It may have seemed that way, but it was a response to a direct quote. But it's my mistake if it was taken that way.Pyro, I never saw your statement as being only towards hcUf. I thought it was an open statement to everyone.
I overreacted and I will back down now. But because my PM for peace was ignored, I may attack hcuf if provoked.

I think you made a bit of a typo there. lolSkyward sword is a open-world games and with every open world game there are a lot of glitches while skyward sword is not a open world game.
Anyway; this argument has gone a bit too far. I do agree that all open world games will have glitches. However; I also agree that some of the glitches in Skyrim could have easily been avoided with a bit more testing. While it is true that these glitches will eventually be patched out; patching should be no excuse for releasing a game when you know there are some more serious glitches in it. If a game's gonna cause hard drive crashes and slow downs after so much time; the game should be delayed. It's not right to treat your customers as beta testers. "A delayed game is eventually good. A bad game is bad forever." (Well, until patches were invented. ) Skyrim is an awesome game. I'm glad if Skyward Sword lost a game of the year award, it was to Skyrim. However, before I get Skyrim for myself, I'm going to wait until a few more kinks get knocked out of it. I don't want to get a game, and run into a glitch that keeps me from fully enjoying my time playing it until I download a patch. If someone else wants to go ahead and get the game; than fine. That's their decision. This is my decision. Neither one is more correct than the other. Neither one is more wrong than the other. It's all an opinion. Few are going to share your opinion exactly, and theirs going to be a lot who disagree with it completely. You've just got to learn to respect the opinions of others. If everyone could just do that, this world would be a far better place.

*Sigh* you leave me no choiceNope, not nearly as glitchy as I hoped.
I'll admit that the game is glitchy, but It's annoying how it's just getting bashed. I don't care if it won GOTY or if people think SS is better. It's like people are expecting Skyrim to be perfect when Bethsada always releases glitchy games.

I'm sensing a gratuitous amount of bias here. o___o
Skyrim shouldn't have won on the amount of glitches AT LAUNCH alone.
I haven't played either game yet, but doesn't Skyword Sword have an infamous game breaking glitch that they are asking consumers to send in SD cards or Wii Consoles to fix? Just saying let's not point fingers here! Nintendo is usually good when it comes to having no glitches!
From what I've seen however Skyrim looks actually better than Skyword Sword! (puts on flame suit!)
Skyword Sword has the classic Zelda gameplay that we all know and love ever since OoT! I would never wish it to change. Problem is that it's hard for me to put that over a game as big as Skyrim! To be fair and unbiased when it comes to pure gameplay Skyrim wins!
Still though I put Skyword Sword in 3rd place right behind Saints Row: The Third which shows a giant middle finger to how serious games take themselves these days! 3rd ain't bad though! Not at all! It takes a lot for me to call a game good! And there are only 6 "Good" games in my book this year! Skyrim, Saints, Zelda, Gears of War 3, Mario Kart 7, and Pokemon Black and White! (SWTOR would be titled "Great!" in my book, a near impossible feat! But I'll count that game for next year!)
So Skyword Sword is no doubt in the top elite this year, no doubt the best Nintendo game, but best game overall is a bit of a longshot.

No... no it is not!
Though they are similar they are not the same!
Skyrim has you run around killing things in real time while being immersed in a huge sandbox.
WoW is running around doing quests while your avatar does all the work for you in a world that is not immersive. (difference in Skyrim you must aim!)
Skyword Sword has you run around dungeons solving puzzles.
All these games are different! They are good in their own right.
If you want to compare Skyrim to a game that released this year compare it to Minecraft. Both play similar both have massive immersive worlds. The main difference is that in Minecraft you craft the world yourself and use your imagination for context, while in Skyrim the world is crafted for you but has a storyline you follow for context!
Oh and I revoke my statement for Skyrim being GOTY. I now say that Minecraft deserves GOTY!

World of Warcraft is an MMORPG, which makes it a different type of game. That game involves level grinding and a bland world. Whatever you do has absolutely no effect in game, you are nobody special in Warcraft. Warcraft has no real storyline and no point to it besides becoming more powerful than your friends and doing raids. It's the american starcraft. They are all the same, I think they all should just be called the same name too
Skyrim and skyward sword are games that are focused around your character. The world changes as you change. You have stories to follow and there a differences in specific gameplays.
