Hey guys, I got a question.
I really want to buy a Wii U, but I don't have an HD TV. I do however have a Full HD monitor (I've got a AOC G2460PQU).
My question is, can I connect a Wii U to my monitor? It has an HDMI port.
If so, how do I do this? If someone could please explain to me how to do this if this is even possible, and make a list of all the things I would need (cables?) then I would be very grateful.
This is my first post on this site, so be easy on me please, haha.
English is also not my native language so forgive any mistakes.

If I am thinking correctly (drinking coffee here to wake up) you'll need to consider how you are going to get audio.
It appears the monitor you have does not have built in speakers. What were your plans?
I believe you may need an audio video converter. I am sure others will chime in with more.

My monitor does have built in speakers. How do I get audio with built in speakers? What cables do I use?
(I'm sorry about my lack of knowledge concerning this topic.)

oh it does? if it has built in audio (speakers), the hdmi connection should be all you need. if you didn't have built in speakers, that would of been a hassle. The Wii U comes with an hdmi cable.

The hdmi gives audio and video together, which is excellent the monitor has built in speakers you will get sound from it.
Wiiu is double the entertainment as a console connects to hdtv and if don't have tv at all you can use gamepad as a tv and play on it, yes you right it does have speakers.

Oh yeah, you can totally do this if you've got speakers. It's how I played my first playthrough of Bioshock Infinite on the PS3, actually.
