I didn't know where to place this thread so move it as you wish.

Anyway, I'm not a hyrule historian, so I don't know the difference between Hylians and regular humans. Excluding the fact that Hylians have pointy ears. If someone can explain this to me the would be awesome!

If you're talking about in-game, I believe there is no humans in Zelda game. If you're talking comparing to the real world, then Link is correct.

Well, what I believe is that while humans exist, in the earlier Zelda games(Pre-OoT) that Hylians were the dominant race. After OoT, they slowly became a minority. Also, hylians are capable of using magic, where humans are not

Games that refuse to use Gameplay effectively to do anything are like films that refuse to use cinematography in film to do anything.

It's true. There are some regular humans in Twilight Princess(Ordon village) and in Wind Waker(and the DS games). The main difference that has been described between them is that Hylians are "The race chosen by the gods". They possess greater magical capabilities than regular human beings, and their long ears are said to allow them to hear the voices of the Gods. A lot of this is described in the manual for A Link to the Past.

Darn. N ninja'd me. :P

Hope this helps... The chosen race of the gods, the Hylians are bound to carry out the will of the Golden Goddesses and preside over the other races of Hyrule. This is the main reason the Hylians are generally considered superior to other races in Hyrule. The Hylians' name appears to derive from the Goddess Hylia. Hylians are an elf-like race who first established an ordered civilization in Hyrule. Physically, Hylians resemble humans, and the only difference appearance-wise between them are the Hylains' long, elf-like ears that supposedly enable them to hear special messages.
