The GameCube is the system of my childhood. It had the best games IMO. It's gen was the last gen before Sony/M$ introduced trash online, scam DLC and angry fanboys.

Nope.
PlayStation 2 has quite the better pool.
Shin Megami Tensei (Any), Kingdom Hearts, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, Final Fantasy X (Not by my standards, but by everyone else's), Metal Gear Solid 3, Devil May Cry, Okami (The ORIGINAL, not the Wii port), God Of War, .hack, Dragon Quest VIII, Ape Escape, Onimusha, Dynasty Warriors, Suikoden, Wild Arms, Xenosaga, etc. etc. ET CETERA.
PSN ID: TranceKujo.

Hey, I like the Gamecube, but "Best Console Ever?" Sorry, I can't follow you down that path. In fact, I passed on the Gamecube for the PS2 during that generation of the console wars. And this is coming from a person that has purchased every Nintendo console since and including the original NES.

I think the N64 is the best, but it wouldn't have been nearly as close to my favorite console if it wasn't for them rare games. Ahh rare, how i miss you.

My pick goes to SNES and NDS. I have a TON of NDS games and the SNES had a lot of great titles as well. To each his own, but I think we can all agree that from SNES to the GC/DS era had some really awesome stuff.

I was once known here as KillerMario, but since I really like Banjo-Kazooie, I changed my display name to show them my respect

I'm afraid the Playstation or Playstaion 2 personally is the greatest system of all time.
If the gamecube had the same games library as the PS2 alongside the gamecube exclusives, AND had a second analogue stick instead of that c-stick. THEN it'd be the greatest system of all time!

It was an awesome system, I mean I loved it, I owned 4, but the DS and PS2 were my fave systems of all time. I'm hoping the Wii U can be up there with the PS2 and DS cos' it's the most fun I've had with a console in a long time, but we will see, my 3DS is nearly up there though freaking Pokemon X and Y SOOOO HYPED!!!

I would have to agree here, it is possibly my favorite home console. Don't get me wrong, I loved playing SSB and SM64 on the 64, I loved the SMB3 on the SNES. But let me tell you why I still love the gamecube to this day.
- Amazing controller, besides the c stick was terrible at games such as Medal of Honor.
- Full of Memories of Most Wanted, Crash Bandicoot, Animal Crossing, Melee (My favorite SSB game), American Wastland, and so much great and exciting games on the gamecube.
- It looked amazing, the console and the games, I compared it to my PS2 version of the game Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3?, wow.
I decided to pick up the PS2, because of people still praising it. I don't understand how people stand that controller, it feels way to loose, and I couldn't find much good games, besides Kingdom Hearts, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, and few other classics, but I never liked it more than I did with the Gamecube.

My opinion is partly made up out of the fact that it was my first 3D console by the way. How would you guys expect a boy to react to the Wind Waker, after having only played ALTTP before? Or playing Sunshine after years and years of SMW? Those were my most beautiful gaming moments ever.
