[Epic Kirby]

Video game heroes are a dime a dozen but only a few get to the legendary status where a new game containing them or even merely mentioning their name brings about awesomeness.

A great main character is sometimes a fundamental part of the game, and here I have picked two video game heroes who In my eyes are gaming legends.

Final Fantasy X: Auron



Some of you may or may not be familiar with Auron from FFX, for those who are unfamiliar with the game, get familiar now.

Why is Auron a legendary character? Well, he just has quite a cool level headed demeanour. His Katana is also pretty badass and he is pretty much the strength in the battle. Another good thing is that he pretty much makes the game bearable with the annoying Tidus.

Next up, the character you have all been waiting for, the Epic...

Kirby series: Kirby



I mean c'mon, he swallows people and steals their ability. He's pretty much the pink copycat ninja xD.

A bit of a predictable choice, but he is my favourite Mario character by far - actually he's probably my favourite video game character - and he makes every game he appears in better. And he's unbelievably cute.

Amaterasu/Shiranui from Okami



This here's a pic of Amaterasu, but I've got to admit that I actually like Shiranui more. But that doesn't matter as Shiranui and Amaterasu are the same, with Amaterasu being the reborn, weaker Shiranui.
Amaterasu is the best char ever 'cause she's cool and because Okami is the best game ever.

The Mario Series: Yoshi!


A bit of a predictable choice, but he is my favourite Mario character by far - actually he's probably my favourite video game character - and he makes every game he appears in better. And he's unbelievably cute.

Little correction there, AMAC. Yoshi is part of the Yoshi series. Nintendo sees him as important enough to actually have a franchise of his own.

Well, if it's not obvious already, I'm going to second AMAC's choice. Yoshi is awesome because he somehow manages to be an amazing predator (he swallowed his enemies whole before Kirby did!) and one of the cutest characters to ever have existed - both at the same time. Let's also not forget how much of a good guy Yoshi really is - risking the lives of himself and seven of his friends to save a helpless baby that dropped out of the sky, not wanting anything in return? Add to all that the way he started off simply as Mario's steed, but turned into a breakout star that deserved a branding of his own, and I think we've got a legend on our hands.

Lloyd is the best character 'cause he's awesome and he's from the best game i have ever played.

Shanoa from castlevania: order of ecclesia.

Cmon, she can shoot a sword from her freakin arm, what's not to like?

She is a rather mysterious character, but she does have some emotion sometimes. I like that she beats Dracula, and a giant skeleton, and barlow, because believe me they are hard bosses. And she's pretty much a sorceress.

Crash Bandicoot (in his hayday anyway)



He is was one of the funniest characters to me and his games were always lots of fun. I will always remember with fondness the first few games that he had.

Spyro: Year of the Dragon was one of my favourite games when I was younger. Unfortunately, the newer Spyro games don't seem to be as good as that one. I think it would actually be worth buying a Playstation 1 just to play this game again.

Kratos Aurion from Tales of Symphonia

Waller's post reminded me of this guy. Shame on me that I forgot about him, he's the most awesome dad ever. Screw Zelos, I'll always have Kratos in my team! What makes Kratos even more awesome is that he appears in Tale of Vesperia - as "Traitor to Heaven".

In all honesty, though... I actually played Dawn of a New World before ToS...

...And I kinda liked it better...

DISCLAIMER: The above is entirely opinion and should not be taken as an attack on the GC ToS. I believe that they were both great games. However, DoaNW had a MUCH better battle system, and I found the pokemon-esque monster system really fun. That is all.

This guy deserves the title of "legend" out of the very beginning of the game.
I mean... He can regenerate scabbards for his swords out of nowhere!

For me it's Waka (from Okami), Shiranui (also from Okami), Samus Aran, Marth (Fire Emblem), and Link, for having to put up with Navi. If I had to choose just one of them, I would definitely pick Shiranui; a glowing white wolf with a flaming mirror on its back that can control the elements with a brush definitely deserves to be considered legendary (not to mention that it defeated an eight headed dragon by getting it drunk)!

Well, if we're already talking about the Moon Tribe, I wonder whether (extreme spoiler ahead, don't read it if you didn't finish Okamiden yet)

Sugawara is Waka? Because Sugawara is said to be someone from the Moon Tribe and he really resembles Waka. But that would really suck because this would mean that Waka's dead now...

Last but not least, I'm pretty sure that EVERYONE who played Okami(den) loves this guy here:

My favorite video game legend is: Diddy Kong!

Well, actually, I don't know if his status is considered legendary, but it should be if it isn't! He's been my favorite ever since I started video gaming, because he's just insanely cool with all that he can do. He has a jet-pack, peanut popguns, races, plays the electric guitar, even raps... XD
