Wii U unveil timeline?

"I'd say the Wii U reveal timeline goes something like this:
GDC- some small nugget. Maybe an announcement of a franchise in development with concept art (but no screens or video), a confirmation of GCN virtual console, or some neat app or feature that would be completely overshadowed at E3. no brainer stuff like Netflix confirmation.
E3- Software blowout. Multiple game announcements, final hardware shown, loose launch window. Some system level features unveiled in broad terms.
GamesCom, PAX Prime- Some E3 demos shown to different audiences.
September conference- Launch price, release date confirmed. OS and online in depth overview. Clearer picture of scheduling of titles shown at E3."'
I'd say that this is pretty realistic.

If Nintendo doesn't announce Wii U pricing and release at E3, I'll be all like
(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻
They'll announce the release dates but not the price. They never do. They'll announce the price on a later conference, just like they did with the Wii, DS, 3DS...

My prediction? September.
Everyone else's prediction and the most likely? November.
NES - October 1985
SNES - August 1991
N64 - September 1996
GCN - November 2001
Wii - November 2006
All dates are north American.
The earliest they have ever released a console in NA is august. The earliest in Japan was July (NES).
Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

I hope? It releases in summer or before my birthday (June 23rd) maybe pull a dreamcast and launch it at E3.

Yeah, sounds about spot on. Read somewhere that Wii U would be launching near the end of 2012. Good that it is - gives me time to save up some money.

That was the Saturn actually (Dreamcast launched on 9/9/99 in the States), and Nintendo wouldn't be stupid enough to launch it at E3-it would piss off stores, consumers, and developers alike.

It was the Saturn that had the suprise launch not Dreamcast. But yeah if Nintendo does a suprise "Wii U will be in stores today" or "next week" then they better of told the developers before they announce it unlike Sega.
This is what Sega did
"The Sega Saturn will release in September!"
E3 1995 starts
"Guess what everyone, due to demend we will release the Saturn today!, and also we old shipped it to a few retailers and that means the retailers we did not ship it to got mad and refused to do business with us again!, and that's not all. We did not tell any developers we where making this suprise release so you will only have 6 games until September 2nd, 1995."

They shouldn't have done that. The Saturn sold very badly.

.......Why did they EVER think that was a good idea?!
They wanted to beat Nintendo and Sony in sales.
