So the inclusion of AC:NL characters in SSB and MK8 + the current eShop sale price has me highly interested in playing the game now. I considered it a long time ago due to the praise the game got but decided not to in the end as I was concerned it would consume my life.

Anyone play this game ongoing? If I get it should I forget about having a life? It also sounds like a digital copy would be more ideal as I understand the game needs to be visited frequently and I'd always have it on me that way.

I played 250 hours of New Leaf in the first 6 months of its release, have played around 50 since then. It depends on how addicted you get to it. playing it for hours on end is a bad idea. I went digital.

I played the one on Gamecube and DS and was fun for a while but then gets boring esp when you paid everything off. The series is wierd. Like either you hate it or love it. The other thing that happens is you like it til you don't. I feel I had my fil of the series and doesn't seem much has changed. Tho the earlier ones let you find NES games and play them and real holidays.

I haven't played AC:NW but I have played WW and CF, the game is fun in the beginning but it can get boring especially after you pay of your house. The game gets really repetitive if you play it too much.

I have over 400 hours on AC:NL and I'm still playing every single day since November of last year. I have a fairly active imagination so this game never gets old or boring for me.

Plus I also have friends who play online and we go to each others towns and chill.

Bottom line is, if you want a game where you can just kick up your feet and play the way YOU want to, get this game. And it's only 29.99, and probably less right now because of the special super smash bros Sale going on right now on the eShop.

Try to pace the game appropriately so you don't burn yourself out. The last thing you need to do is spend five or so hours farming for beetles every night, and then just stop playing.

I'd spend that much time trying to catch a Shark.

This is me you are talking about lol.

Anyone know if the Animal Crossing Plaza is going to be taken down? I remember them saying it was a limited time... early 2015 or is it going to remain up?

What's that?

Also definitely not a regrettable purchase. So much to do and discover. Awesome for $25.
