This is the theme i got, pretty neat how they included the music and little sound effects.

True but at the same time you can make a million different themes while they will only release a hand full.

So right now I see this pointless because you can't make your own.

Sony does both on PS3 and Vita. You can buy a theme have the UI in the theme and change the background. It's fun for mixing and matching.. So all Nintendo would have to do is allow you to have your own background if you want bu the UI and music is still the paid theme.
