Hallo people.

I bought my Nintendo Wii U a few months after launch. I was a happy customer.

I got it for the 3'er parti games. Its future were bright at that time. For me, it was a cheap alternative for a next gen console.

Assasins creed and COD, i could live with that, but now, none is making game for it anymore, and i dont like the kind of games that Nintendo makes.

I am not updated with the status of the Wii U.

Is it dead? have everyone left the ship?

Is there still Nintendo games that will ''save'' the console, i heard that alot of time back then.

The only games i see now is a few indie games and ofc Nintendos own.

You might as well sell your Wii U and get a PS4/XBone. Because it sounds like you want to miss out on fun games like Smash Bros. for the likes of worse but still pretty exceptional games like CoD.

3rd party support is far and few between . No COD or Assassin's Creed this year. The last "mature" Ubisoft game, Watch Dogs will finally be released on November 18th.

But, you are missing out. Right now, the Wii U arguably has the best software lineup currently and set for 2015.

These came out in 2014..

Donkey Kong Country TF

Wii U Sports Club

Mario Kart 8 with just added DLC

Hyrule Warriors

Bayonetta 2 (and 1)

SMASH coming out on November 21st.

Captain Toad coming December 5th.

Tons of indie games, some games I probably missed... and much more set for 2015. The future is more bright now for the Wii U than it was at launch.

None can have the best setup, it depends on the games you like, and Nintendo is a league of itself when it comes to their own productions.

As far as "AAA third-party" goes? Yeah, it's pretty much dead. You may see a couple more "mature" games for the system, but that's really not what the console is about anymore. Nintendo promised super amazing 3rd party support for the system back when it was announced, but the main "AAA" developers gave up on Wii U because, well, who knows? Because the Wii U is "underpowered"? Nah, more like they're too lazy to put any work into their ports. Because the install base isn't big enough? Huh, they must not be very confident in their game if they don't think it'll sell anything console-wise. And then there's Ubisoft. The botch and delay games for the Wii U then blame fans for not buying their games. When Ubi pulled Rayman Legends right out from under my nose, my decision was made, they were not getting any of my money. But, to be fair, I'm really not a big "AAA" guy. Don't care for "mature", gritty titles that think they're so much better than "kiddy" Nintendo games. However, this ordeal has lead Nintendo to pump out some amazing games for the system, and I wouldn't want it any other way. (A few more sales would be nice, though...)

TL;DR: If all you care about is third-party, then yes, the Wii U is very dead. But if you care about Nintendo's games coming out soon and in the distant future, then no. The Wii U is very much alive, more alive than it ever was.

*whew*, that felt good...

That's why i used the word, arguably.

“If you look at the other two competitive platforms, fundamentally, what’s the difference? They have a lot of shared content. Look at it from the standpoint of, what don’t they have? They don’t have our games. They don’t have Mario and Zelda.” - Reggie Fils-Aime

To play devil's advocate, a XBone with 2 digital games is $349 right now. Trade the Wii U and games/accessories to GameStop and you will get a quick $100-$150 for the system, and about $10-$20 a game/extra controller.

I bought a Wii U because it was the most powerful system at the time and I ended up selling it after getting burnt out at Nintendo games for a little bit. Have owned a XBone and PS4 before and although they're pretty good, I'd say the grass is always greener on the other side... until you get there.

So to make a long story short, I ended up buying another Wii U. But again, just do what makes you happy.

Dead no.

Big lack of 3rd party, yes

The wii u like all over nintendo systems, are really meant for Nintendo only games. The 3rd party support is just laughable.

The next great games coming out on the wii u IMO are Super Smash Bro and Toad the Explorer.

If your wanting some COD action i would say get an x1 or ps4.

That crossed my mind but replied anyways . LOL.

I assume he still has the Wii U... all he would have to do is turn it on, browse the eshop or Wara Wara Plaza to see what is going on....

But he honestly sounds like a Sony or Microsoft fanboy. Especially with that "Cheap alternative for a next gen" crap.

Well considering post history... seems he had issues with MiiVerse moderation... and Statler told him to watch invoking the swear filter.

I looked through some of his posts and I think he is trolling. Still though, I don't think he should be banned or anything.

I have had no isues with MiiVerse, if you read the topic, i was commenting on their politics, which are not verry online community friendly, if you understand.

This feels like a troll post...

And why is that? the Wii U does cost halft what an Xbox or Playstation does, and it WAS the most powerfull console at the time. And how should i know that it would be a complete failure when it comes to sales and support of 3parti games? The Wii had lots of 3parties, it just needed the extra power for all the big tiitles, now the Wii u have the power, but none wants it, or support it.

I am not a fanboy of anything, i am to old for that.

And if anyone are wondering where all the ''Hes a troll'' post went, they bare been removed by the admins of this page, because it had been reportet by me.

Sorry but anyone who buys a console based on power is doing it wrong. PC's always be more powerful than a console and has the best 3rd party support of anything. I'm not a PC gamer but that's the flat truth. A console should be based on exclusives. Not because of power and wanting to play Cod.

Also not that people have to be grammar perfect as god knows I'm not,can you at least spell somewhat correctly? That's part why your posts were attacked. Oh and $300 is not half of $400.

English is not my main language.

I paid 200euro/250$ on Amazon for a Wii U back in June last year and a Playstation or Xbox cost 510$ now in Denmark :)
