hi all after some pointers last night was playing mario co op for the first time and thought 1 player would goto the main tv and the 2nd player would use the controller tv but this didnt happen it split both screens in half which i thought was stupid as i cant see the controller tv lol and cant find any settings to change it , any ideas to where its hiding

sorry yeah mario kart 8 and that is pony specially as it splits on both tv's , i wounder howt they missed that out then as would make the wii u even better and co op playing which the WII is all about

Gotcha. Yea, Mario Kart 8 doesn't offer it. They would have had to reduced the frame rate, resolution, downgrade the visuals to support this feature. In a racing game, solid frame rate is more important that a feature like this.
Hyrule Warriors offers coop with one using the gamepad and one on TV, but there are some framerate issues and the resolution is dropped. It works and plays fine for coop. Most platformers offer the dual screen coop experience, since they are not quite as demanding in performance.

Gotta remember in split screen the game is being rendered 2-4 times. So like in Hyrule Warriors just for example the Wii U is rendering the the game twice so it takes a hit.
