Because it honestly seems like a logical next step. Wii games already run fine and there are illegitimate means of running gamecube ROMS on the Wii U, so there's really nothing stopping Nintendo from uploading their games to the eShop!

Because it honestly seems like a logical next step. Wii games already run fine and there are illegitimate means of running gamecube ROMS on the Wii U, so there's really nothing stopping Nintendo from uploading their games to the eShop!
We won't ever see Wii games in virtual console until their next home console, and some GC games require analog shoulder buttons like mario sunshine.
Add me on Wii U if you want to settle it in Smash

I really am hoping they announce gamecube games at E3. i have no plans to support VC on Wii U until they release gamecube.

It seems like it would be fairly easy - providing you haven't updated your Wii U to 5.1+ you could already run Gamecube games - and even use the official gamecube controller adaptor. I guess I just have to stick to Dolphin for now, as hunting down the disks is expensive and/or impossible.

We'll probably get GC games after we get N64 games on WiiU and GBA/SNES games on 3DS. So, whenever a miracle is likely to happen.

We'll probably get GC games after we get N64 games on WiiU and GBA/SNES games on 3DS. So, whenever a miracle is likely to happen.
3DS can't do GBA, atleast with the virtual console backbone. Until maybe when the Virtual Console emulator is on the device and not bundled with each game. Maybe the new 3DS they can start doing GBA games. But yeah N64 will probably start rolling out after some N64 does, or maybe not since Gamecube Adapter is out.
Though to the OP, Wii games? Probably not even by next gen. Thats just kinda ridiculus thought. Though I guess possible since its close to Gamecube.

Yeah I got some for my ambassador program...
Well yes 3DS can do GBA games, but not through the virtual console, so they can be on there, but not with the save/sleep/ect functions.
