Rarely do I find a game that makes me forgive every bad game in a mediocre series, but I have found it. Theatrhytm (Curtain Call) Final Fantasy. This game makes me glad I played pretty bad games like Final Fantasy XIII so that I know the characters to this rather splendid game. The game mechanics are simple. But this game still manages a certain level of deepness through RPG elements like leveling up.

And it's in the simpleness that is the key. There are no overly frequent random battles or nutty amounts of level grinding to be had. No overly convoluted storylines to shake your head at. Just simple, old-school charm.

And I do realize Ryudo finds these games to be trash. But to each his own. I'll still agree with him about Bravely Default, but not this.

My score: 10/10

Extremely easy games, but they are indeed great. Final Fantasy music with a simple rhythm game behind it. What's not to love?
