By now I imagine plenty people owning a tablet/smartphone with android, plus with Xmas out the way I think many have one.

Thought it would be a good idea to list your fave apps/games/browsers and such and tips etc. I'm using Chrome but might try something better.

I used to have a Nook HD but now use this - http://www.gsmarena....tab_s8-6681.php

It will never replace my laptop but I find it great for viewing pics, general browsing and especially useful for game guides keeping it next to me. If only they could play YouTube in 60fps.

I'm still on my 2012 nexus 7. Got a 1st gen iPad to but use that mostly for icade.

I use Chrome cast a lot. My main browser is chrome.

I use a few mobile payment apps, google wallet and shopping apps like amazon.

Most of my gaming is social stuff like words with friends.

I've installed roku app and comcast for tv guide/control.

I use sirius xm and twit app for mostly listening pleasure.

I'm still on my 2012 Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus.

I do have some cheap Tablet on the side from a couple years ago originally a gift for my mom but we got her a new Samsung Tab 4 7inch this Christmas. Screen on that thing is amazing.

Tekzilla App

Twit.tv App

I have many more just the 2 I care about most. Don't play games on it because no such things as games on phones and tablets. Just trash.

My 15.6" Asus Laptop folds into a tablet and my Blackberry Z30 can run Android apps, but I guess neither really qualify.

For games I'd recommend Monument Valley.

And get the Amazon App Store as they make a paid app free for a day every day. I got most of my collection that way.

Don't think tablet games are anything special but these are OK.

iPad air 2 for the whole family and gf.

Apple TV with AirPlay is tons of fun and makes putting the iPad screen on the tv seamless.

The best graphics in portable gaming as well.

But... That's not why you buy a tablet. Lol

The wii u, X1, and ps4 dominate the big screen.

A tablet is a great extra. It's not NEEDED like a phone or desktop/laptop computer. But it is great to have.

Anyone using the Youtube app only have 720p max too? My tab has full HD and I know the app has 1080p support on most videos.

Tried uninstalling and downloading again but same thing.

I bought a cheapo rca tablet on black Friday just to have it as a back up. But I do most of my browsing on my phone or pc.

I did as well, did you get it from Walmart? It isn't a bad cheapo tablet. It's quick and pretty solid. Screen is lackluster and build quality of the plastic feels odd but overall its good for the price.

Also my Nexus 7 , original model from 2012 received the lollipop update. I was surprised as I didn't think my older nexus 7 would get it.. but it is GREAT!
