Much like Sony is funding Street Fighter V
Would it benefit Nintendo to fund a new Megaman game?

I know there's been alot of talk over the year about Capcom being bought out potentially or selling their IP's, but who knows when or if that'll ever happen.
It's no secret that capcom has been extremely conservative with the megaman franchise, and since the wii-u,nintendo has been pioneering the relevance of the series from nearly having all the games via virtual console to his debute in smash bros.

It's my opinon that there's enough demand to warrant the idea and i see no reason why it wouldn't move a few if not a fair amount of consoles.

Well, should they do this, what megaman game should they do?
original, x, zero, battle network, star force, a return to legends 3?

I do like the mega man franchise as much as I don't know about it but I do believe that it would be an increadbly smart for nintendo to purchase some of capcoms Ip or Just capcom.
I think capcom has a lot of untapped potential that nintendo could bring out of them especialy with megaman, resident evil and the ace attorney franchise, also I think them owning the monster hunter rights as well could mean HUGE business for nintendo, I mean just look at how well it sells in Japan alone.
Also I know this will never happen but I would love to see new final fight and ghouls and ghosts entries in the form of there classic games, me want, me want so bad.

I would love to see Nintendo continue Legends 3.

 

It wouldn't make that much sense financially because the Legends series isn't best-selling but goddammit I want Legends 3.

It would be awesome and I'd love a Legends 3 also (btw for anyone who wants more legends snag EX Troopers on 3DS or PS3. Import friendly and feels like LP mixed with MML3 also there is Solotorobo which basically is MML)

 

Wii U IS gettting a Mega Man game this pring tho in Mighty No 9 from the very creator of Mega Man.

 

Older build but now Inafune came out and said game is finished and just tuning it. So be out soon. Wii U,PS4,XBO,PC and I believe last gen and 3ds and Vita

IMO I think megaman is dead.

Streetfighter i hear about all the time. mortal kombat yea, Smash bros yes.

 

But megaman, just no. I havent heard much about it in a long time and not many people even know about him. So i think it would be a waste of money for nintendo to do that.

They should put there time and money into getting Zelda and metriod out.

People talk about Mega Man all the time begging Capcom for a new game but you are right it's dead but not because lack of demand. Because Capcom are trolling twats. They cancelled them all for no reason. So it's up to inafune now with MN09. You want proof there is demand. Fans gave $4 million to Inafune for a new Mega Man and we are getting it.

Not played Mega Man Zero then? Has a darker approach and story telling Zero's story and it's pretty depressing and messed up.

Became a series.

 

Nah use MM from Smash and make a real MM but MN09 taking care of it anyway. Gunvolt and Mighty on 3DS as well. So Nintendo has all MM bases covered

No i didn't play.

I was close to buying it for my DS, but ended up not as it was too expensive.

 

I know it's now on the VC for GBA.
Is it good? I still wanna try it after i buy Mega Man X.

Yeah Zero series is pretty good just dark and depressing lol. It played a bit different. In fact Gunvolt kinda playes like the Zero series.
