Weirdness: Two men ransack a Cambridge music shop dressed in stolen Mario & Luigi costumes
Let this be a lesson to anyone who thinks stealing a costume and running amok means no consequences, as these two guys in Cambridge, UK have learned. According to the report, two men entered the music shop dressed in Mario & Luigi outfits they stole from a local party shop. The men were reported to be rowdy and unruly and after the man dressed in the Luigi costume assaulted a member of the staff and attempted to remove a guitar and a keyboard from the premises, the police were called.
Lawrence King, 25, was identified as the man in the Mario costume and admitted that he and his partner were drunk and the costumes has been stolen. For the crime, King was handed an eight-week jail sentence and forced to repay £25.99 in compensation for the stolen costume, as well as £12.99 for the stolen lager. King also received a year probation with mandatory alcohol treatment in order to help the man overcome his drinking problem. No information was given about the man in the Luigi costume
