It's been a long time coming my friends. We all knew it was never coming to Europe.

 

 

At Nintendo of Europe, we continue to challenge ourselves to develop a range of entertaining experiences for all to enjoy. Due to the extremely complex nature of localising multiple television services across a diverse range of countries with varied licensing systems, regrettably we have taken the decision not to launch the Nintendo TVii service within the European region. Although on this occasion we did not anticipate such challenges, we will always strive to develop a range of entertaining experiences for all our users to enjoy.

Ok nintendo, now get rid of that TVii icon and get me some other streaming services. iPlayer at least. I mean jesus, even the Wii had it.

Not missing much. I don't even use it here anymore. The updates to it made it pretty useless regarding searching for programs and choosing which streaming service to watch it on.

If they could replace the icon with Netflix and overhaul the Netflix app so it worked better I'd be happy. But I never use TVii. I didn't even use it when I actually had a TV subscription. I'd prefer it if they took the time to improve the remote app though. Maybe pair with Harmony or something.

You click on it and it says "this service is currently unavailable" or something along those lines.

 

 

I don't even care about TVii, I would just like some more streaming services on Wii U apart from Netflix (and Amazon but I don't know anyone who uses it).

I think I tried it when I first get my WiiU. I think it didn't work with TWC? I dunno. You Europeans aren't missing out on much.
