Haven't played any of the older games but this looks good and I'll probably buy on whatever console has the best frame rate.

You kinda need to play the first two first. Well you don't have to but to get the story more and characters kinda need to play the first two games. Often pretty cheap on GOG. http://www.gog.com/game/the_witcher

Well, its still slow motion like they are swimming in molasses, but the monster behavior and ai is 1000000X better than that griffin hunt they showed off last time.
