Yooka-Laylee’s Kickstarter will launch on May 1. Fans who back the project for £10 / $15 will be able to obtain a copy. Extras include soundtracks, art books, and a special “64-bit”. There are plans to bring Yooka-Laylee to Wii U, but its release timing will depend on the success of the Kickstarter campaign and its stretch goals.

This might be my first kickstarter pledge actually. How do they tend to do the different platforms in terms of pledges cos I only really wanna play it on Wii U? I guess it depends on how they set their milestones but does anyone ever have platform specific pledges?

ok so it has a drinking problem, it's pretty common among the bat population.

Yeah it did seem a bit off at first but I think it's already growing on me. I really like the chameleon design, well I like chameleons/lizards in general so it's hard to go wrong there for me but it's a nice style nonetheless.

Funded already, wow. Why did the expansive 3d platformer seemingly die as a genre when there is a real demand for it?

Hopefully it'll meet it's £1,000,000 stretch goal so we can get simultaneous console releases!

Holy cow, it got funded and then some so quickly... It's a shame so many other Kickstarter games get overlooked but this one still looks promising.

I haven't heard the Tropical Freeze soundtrack but Grant's song does sound like it was taken right out of Banjo-Kazooie.

I will purchase this game when it comes out. I remember playing Banjo Kazooie, it was probably one of the games that got me into gaming in my childhood.
