With only less than two weeks away from this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), rumors and speculations keep on coming out, further exciting the already excited fans. Just recently, huge details about Nintendo's plans for the big annual event have leaked.
In a report by HiddenTriForce.com, a GameStop employee leaked what is said to be Nintendo's E3 plans, as told to by the game store's Nintendo employee. While these seem to be massive information and updates, none of these have been confirmed by Nintendo yet.
The majority of the news dealt with the delayed The Legend of Zelda for the Wii U. The game's release was recently delayed, and Nintendo previously announced that they wouldn't be presenting it for this year's E3.
First off, Legend of Zelda will make an appearance on E3 after all. This is to "sustain the momentum" of the game. As to its status, the game will be working with several Amiibo models, giving Link a daily item to use. Also, the game will be supporting both the GamePad and the Wii U Pro controller. Additionally, since the games world is set to be really big and wide, a certain form of fast travelling is currently under the works by Nintendo.
As for the game's villain, Ganondorf/Ganon won't be coming, for there is a different and new villain in store for the game. The game is also reported to be featuring "darker" and more emotional themes. Lastly, the game will be featuring different sets of enemies for night and day; Gorons will be featured in Zelda, and at least two new "races" will make their appearance.
Aside from major Zelda updates, the information leak also had something to say about Nintendo's other games. Supposedly, an all-new Metroid game will be at the event, along with a brand newMario game; and lastly, the upcoming Star Fox game for the Wii U will be revealed to feature space and land sequences, and an online multiplayer mode.
The LOZ appearance does make some sense.... keeping momentum and interest, even if they only talk or show a few little tid bits, it is much needed for fans and for those that think it will just be delayed for the "next system" . The other stuff regarding the game, who knows?
Metorid, I expect. I saw somewhere Super Mario Sunshine 2 was talked about... not sure. Nintendo might surprise us though considering the 30th anniversary of Mario. Mario Maker is going to be awesome, but another Mario surprise could be in store.
I am also curious as to that Tantalus Media port coming to Wii U.. still no word on that.
