Looks fake, also they would never do something this big from using amiibo's seeing as how much they're out of stock, And why is it using a single player boss fight, why is it so blurry. Where would they get this render from since it's still so far away from E3, Keep splatoon away from Mario, the only thing that should be in splatoon that's mario related are bloopers.

As much as I love Sunshine, the guy in the video is right, Nintendo needs Splatoon to stand on its own, and a playable Mario character would takeaway from that.

The whole thing just wouldnt make a lot of sense.

I see no point to this. Being able to dress up as mario and having a F.LU.D.D. or the Magic Paintbrush, on the other hand...

To be honest, I think having ammibo-unlocked costumes would be nice actually.

NO! let Splatoon be it's own IP. Keep mario as far away as possible. No Zelda no Metroid none of that.

That looks really fake. Mario would be so out of place. That render doesn't even show ink inside F.L.U.D.D. Now having F.L.U.D.D as a weapon that an inkling uses would be cool.

It is an original render of Mario though.  So either someone spent a lot of time on this or it could be real.

Also his eye look kinda off.

Trying to understand when the day came that crossing over nintendo IP's was a bad thing.

Mario sunshine would make a great add-on for splatoon, either as an extended single player event with mario as the boss,

or adding mario as a neutral AI controlled threat in turf war, neutralizing the field with FLUDD

Adding Mario demeans Splatoon. It's a bold new game from Nintendo that builds on the future and needs to stand on it's own so it's not held back by older IPs esp Mario. It will show Nintendo just does not trust their garage team to do anything by themselves. It shows Nintendo does not trust anything but old IPs. It proves the criticisms of new to old IP's correct in most peoples eyes.  Splatoon needs to prove itself by itself. Xenoblade didn't need Mario. nor does this. Esp in development they said they tried Mario and gang and it never felt right to them it never worked well until they created something new. It's also a way to bring in non Nintendo fans.

The thing is Mario wouldn't have made any sense in Xenoblade. Mario+FLUDD doesn't seem too out of place in Splatoon IMO when you consider certain ideas for them. Also, it's arguable but I wouldn't see it as N not trusting Splatoon, it seems to be already delivering despite the usual criticism (Waiting for more content, no voice chat, etc). I would see it as more of that "wow" factor N has been implementing lately with character crossovers. I'm certain N didn't lack any confidence in MK8 but adding Link made me and probably millions do a back flip, and I can't even do a back flip (Though their confidence in Wii U sales could have possibly been considered there). I would just see it as Nintendo doing another awesome crossover.

The best way to approach this would be the weapon or map based off the game and that's it imo.

splatoon, imo, is already successful, and will have good legs going onward, so adding mario say 6 months or year later doesn't say anything bad about splatoon in any way.
