Apparently Nintendo plans to announce a new 3DS title at E3, a Splatoon Action/Shooter Platformer 2.5D. Its described as a more fleshed out version of the cut arcade game, It will share a similar story to the main game on the Wii U. Unfortunately I couldn't get any more information then that.

Don't know about his source but nonetheless it would be a good thing for Nintendo to do. Help brand the game even more so.

A Splatoon cover plate for the handheld system has popped up on some websites and that’s kind of a curious little item. It’s a cool looking cover plate with bright blotches all over the place, but why was it made? There are no other Wii U games to have a 3DS cover plate, so is this a clue from Nintendo?

Sorry, I had to. I'd like this actually, considering My Wii U is stuck at my parent's house while I'm at college.
Games that refuse to use Gameplay effectively to do anything are like films that refuse to use cinematography in film to do anything.

Would be cool if they gave those who have the Wii U version, at least a price break, if not a cross buy outright.....
