I'm hoping that Wii 2 will have a video recording channel. That way everyone will be happy that they don't have to record videos from a camera.

Recording channel needs:
Record videos at 1080p
Editing station
Ability is upload videos to facebook and/or YouTube

What do you guys think? What would you want in the channel?
I'm Nub Cakes! :D and I approve this signature... Kinda! :D

I think this feature would be more useful in a future iteration of the 3DS with higher quality cameras, since it's portable, unlike the Wii. If it was with the Wii 2, there would only be so much you could do with it before it seems gimmicky; you would only be able to record videos of the room the Wii 2 is in. If they did include it, though, I would want a video editor that you could use by doing all the editing with the touch screen on the controller (and possibly styli), high definition video recording, the ability to add text or drawings to videos, and the ability to record videos of games. I would also like it if you could export the videos to the 3DS and (if Nintendo comes out with video recording for the 3DS) import videos from the 3DS. As you said, it would be nice if it could record at 1080p!

If you mean recording gameplay than yes actually since that will allow me to create playthrough's on my youtube channel less expensive.

Yeah, you've done a great job so far, letting the Metal Heads destroy the palace.

Yep, that's what I meant. It would also be useful for recording videos of Smash Bros. matches or showing the solution to a puzzle on a game!

hopefully it can record the game you're playing cause as you say that would be good for walkthroughs. But we already know it can be used for video chatting so why not for this

An in-game recorder would be the dream tool for people who like to make video walkthroughs. It's as simple as this:

1) Begin streaming game to controller.
2) Begin recording.
3) Record both gameplay and your speech using the built-in microphone.
4) ???
5) PROFIT!!!

That is an awesome idea! I agree with you 100% except for 1 things. The only problem is that the controller would have to have an outward facing camera, and as far as I know it doesn't. So that may complicate things a tad bit. But still something Nintendo needs to consider :D

Why would it need an outward facing camera, if it's going to record the gameplay from the console or controller itself? The way FRAPS works and other capture cards is what I mean.

I don't get why people obsess about these consoles having Web Browsers and such when our computers have MUCH better ones....
