Yes my sentiments exactly, They just charged the owner of megaupload a very heft fine basically making him pay most of the fines that had incurred from the pirating.I wouldn't worry, I doubt they could even afford to jail that many people, they'll most likely just go after a few heavy offenders to set an example.

Nothing against Americans, but you have an incredibly screwy government, isn't this all shoving free speech into a ball and throwing it into space? The government are the people who THOUGHT to do that, and now they're the ones breaking it!

It was a popular site where you could download/upload practically everything.
It was a piracy fest.
Anyway, I wonder why the government started taking action on Megaupload now when ACTA was introduced 5 years ago... Probably has to do with the business Megaupload was going to start called "Megabox" which was going to practically render useless the music industry. (Read: bad for the government)
