This is a short story I wrote for my Language Arts. I just wanted to share it.
Oreawesome: a story about Oreos
I stare.
My mouth waters.
It silently screams at me to stuff those beautiful, circular, perfect, scrumptious pieces of heaven into my mouth.
But I can't.
Well, maybe I could just...
No, I can't.
I lean forward as far as I can without the Oreos going up my nose. I will the delectable, creamy treats to toss themselves into my mouth. Then, I wait.
And wait.
And wait.
And wait.
And wait.
THIS IS SIMPLY UNBEARABLE! Finally, I give into my temptation and grab the plate. I hold it in both hands, eyeing the cookies. I notice their intricate designs carved so carefully by machines into the chocolatey surface. The letters taunt me. O-R-E-O. O-R-E-O. I tilt the plate slightly. The plate is now resting on the edge of my lower lip. A single Oreo begins to slide off of the tiny mountain toward the edge of the plate-the edge resting on my mouth. I open my mouth, egging it on. Soon, its friend follows it down toward me. I tilt the plate farther, farther--until the cookies are in my mouth.
I crush my jaws down powerfully, smashing the treats into a billion tasty shards. The chocolatey taste swirls around in my mouth, binding my tongue in a straitjacket of creamy, chocolatey delight. I flip and twist in a blissful world of scrumdiddilyumptiousness.
Until I hear my mom's voice ask,
"What are you doing?"
End.
Critiquing is welcome!
