As Ninjashock said, there's already a thread about this. As well, Most companies tend to come up with similar ideas on their own. That's the way it works in life. However, do I believe that something like this idea will be accelerated if the WiiU is a success? Yes
Games that refuse to use Gameplay effectively to do anything are like films that refuse to use cinematography in film to do anything.
