So I was reading the comments section of an article about the connectivity of the 3DS and the Wii U. He brought up how last time he got a note on SwapNote, rather than saying go to SwapNote, it said access Nintendo Letter Box. I checked my 3DS to see about this, and sure enough it was there.

What do you guys think this means? Is it just a name change, or is there something else involved?

in Europe its always been letter box from the beginning

America and Europe have differing titles.

I have Nintendo Letter Box (which would be for any region that utilises EU/AU). America and any other region that uses US will have Swapnote. And Japan has funky lines they can somehow read.

Basically everyone is saying the same exact thing. It is letterbox in the PAL region and Swapnote in the USA region. Speaking of Swapnote, I gotta run to my 3DS to see if I got any way past cool notes!

Again, it's the same 3DS system in the same region. T_T I think Nintendo may have switched the notifications momentarily while delivering other notes in other regions.
