This is probably just wishful thinking, but wouldn't it be awesome if the Wii U version of the upcoming Star Trek game utilized the controller's microphone?  Imagine: using technology similar to, say, Siri for the iPhone, you could speak into the controller to ask the Enterprise's computer a question, and it would give you an answer.  People who have seen Star Trek know what I'm talking about.

It seems interesting, but to tell the truth, it kinda sounds like some kind of tacked on Kinect function that Microsoft would require, but I still like the Idea.

That would probably be the likely scenario.

By the way, has there ever been a Star Trek game? I don't recall any.

There's been several. The Angry Video Game Nerd made a whole video dedicated to Star Trek games. There's one coming out soon for the PS360 (and hopefully Wii U).

I would like to be able to play Star Trek Online on the Wii U. That would be great. I would be able to fly my glorious spaceships on an actual gaming system instead of my non-gaming computer that I play games on.
