[Xiombarg]

Well, I recently worked on a poem in order to submit it to my school's literature magazine. Now, I write from time to time and I don't like to restrict myself, so I found it difficult to be happy with this piece. Because I have submitted it, I figured that I can post it online if I wish, I would like to know what others think of it.
This poem was slightly influenced by Elric's recent poem and was heavily influenced by some tracks of Hawkwind (Tide of the century and the Warriors on the Edge of Time CD)

The Edge of Time

So my dear, shall we depart?
Let us leave behind the torrential fates
As we pave away at a brand new age.
Let us leave man’s sorrows to be drown
And lost inside a lake of tears.

Take my hand
And I’ll lead you on
To all new lands
Of magic unbound

The past offers nothing
But deep despair,
So stop your weeping,
For we are there.

Please hold my hand
And help me on,
To move the sands
That time has bound.

Worry not, my dear,
The future promises no frowns,
So take my hand and turn that page
Countless stories shall await.
With pen in hand, let us start.

I actually don't usually post my stuff online. It's not that I forget to or have a low self esteem, but I have a paranoia about theft... It really irritates my family, as they actually want to read my stuff.
But if I do decide to start uploading my stuff, I might make an alternate DA or something.

I didn't know I could influence anyone


The poem is good. It kind of reminds me of like a adventure novel with a guy taking someone on a journey to another world. Doctor Who connection perhaps? Anyway, it was good. Let us know if the poem makes it.
