If they were to make a game it would be marketed towards the show's primary demographic(little girls) and that would make it more like My Little Pony shovel-ware games that were from the previous generations.

Woe is I, who haft been unprepared. I hath entered a sanctuary of forbidden to the eyes of men.
My eyes shall burn with the images of that which I had seen. Far beyond my comprehension, a ritual. I hath seen them dance and sing.
For they danced and sang with a passion no longer held by my kind. And when such ritual hath concluded I was awakened to the meaning of it all.
I was enlightened to passion of the other kind. finally, I sayth to myself.
"Mine being hath been prepared"

Probably but maybe with FiM they will go general. As much as I want to believe that a My Little Pony games would be awesome I don't think it would be.

Action/Crime/Se.....So, what would you do in a My Little Pony game anyway?
Joking but I would want action and touchpad features. Create a pony would be an excellent feture too. That would be cool, picking a color then an emblem and gender. I would want online and missions. But since it might be an app it won't have this much.

THQ already made one. But with friendship is magic maybe it can be a decent RPG with exploration and action. As awesome as it would be if a competent gaming company were to make a My Little Pony game, I expect it would be aimed at young girls. That's not to say that many Bronies would not buy it, but I certainly would not. I think we should leave the Brony games up to the Indie developers, as they will likely make something we would all be interested in. (Fighting is Magic, anypony)

The game could have potential. But they'd actually have toske a good game, independent of the attraction it's license affords them.
That's how the arkham games and the cybertron games became great. They simply made great games that would be fun even without the licenses. Then they tailored the game to be enhanced by the license (story, special features like transforming or utility belt items, characters, etc)
The sooner publishers stop asking their studios to produce crap the better. If they aren't going to do it right, then perhaps it's best to not do it at all.

Imagine this, WayForward makes a MLP game based off the series ( not the franchise),has lots of fan service, the shows writers and creators watch over the project and contribute to it and enjoyable gameplay in it. Similar to how they're handling Adventure Time on DS and 3DS.
