1.every fan is excited to see nintendo first party games in glorious HD 1080p. so what does this mean for nintendo? not one but two first party games released in the launch period. they need to bring out the heavy hitters for the launch. they cant have their first party games launch 6 months after the console launches.
2. third party heavy hitters. grand theft auto! there i said it. if that games is a launch title for Wii u there will be a serious demand for hardcore gamers to get the console. i know so many people that hate nintendo for their lack of having third party mature games on their console. i remember getting laughed at with my gamecube while everyone i knew had a ps2 staying up late nights with there GTA adventures.
3.great implementation of the controller feature and console features at launch. we saw with the 3ds it took a while to have a great lineup of games that really showcased the 3d effect. in reality super street fighter iv3d was the only must have launch game. nintendo is going to have to make sure the Wii U has multiple games that take full advantage of the controller (and the console features we dont know about yet) on launch day.
4.next-gen graphics. been on a lot of sites and when they mention next-gen and graphics they tend to leave Wii U out. there are a lot of developers that have gone on record about how disappointed they were with the Wii's power or lack there of. nintendo has to bring it this time around.i know most rumors suggest they are. they might have to add an extra 50 dollars onto console price to ensure they can hang with the big boys (ps4 nextbox) when they launch. simply put they just need enough power to run the next gen engines unreal 4, next cryengine and all the others. also one thing that a lot of people are over looking is nintendo making a comparable in house engine to get the most out of there console so their first party games can be comparable (if not better) to what the third party devs will do. most importantly they have to show off these graphics at E3 this year i mean blow the ps3 and xbox 360 away. if not gamers will be hesitant and will wait for ps4 or nextbox and not buy into what nintendo is selling.
5. price point! nintendo is known for having affordable console and this gen shouldn't be any different. they can make a console (doesn't have to be the most powerful next gen just comparable) that has a decent price. anything over 400 is too much. 350-400 is the target range anything under that is icing on the cake for what we know. comparable online service to xbox live, graphics at least two times at minimum better than this gen, plus a touch screen controller that adds a second screen to console gaming.
if nintendo can pull these things off there is "NO" way this console will fail. i don't really care what this patcher guy says he has been wrong so many times and just talks for the fanboys that don't like nintendo to have something to say bad about nintendo.
what do you guys think?

On two specifically, they need hard assurances that the big companies are working on things.
They need rockstar to say "Yes, we're working on GTA5 for the Wii U", not something like "We're thinking about it".
They need activision to say "Yes, our next cash-in on the CoD franchise will be on the Wii U."
etc.

Call of Duty on the Wii U is guaranteed. Wherever Activision can make money, they'll go there.
