Use a DS wrist strap. It is a strap with a small stylus on the end. It can be attached to the thumb so that you can hold the console with two hands.

Here is a video that is good for showing how the wrist strap works:

If you don't have the one packaged with the original DS, you can pick one up at NOA's online store for $3.95 + shipping here: http://store.nintend...rencyPreference

If you don't mind me asking, how is this gonna help?
Less weight to hold or what?

It will allow you to use your thumb as your stylus. This allows you to use both hands to grip the 3ds.

Yeah, you've done a great job so far, letting the Metal Heads destroy the palace.

Yes because you are holding the 3DS with two hands. Also, the thumb stylus is more natural to use because it is used in a similar position as you would an analog stick/slider.

This is a splendid idea. Thank goodness I still have my thumb stylus.

Huh... that is actually a really clever idea. Too bad I finished it a half hour ago... my hand is killing me but it will be better in the morning.

Ya know, I've never really had any problem with hand cramps when playing DS or 3DS games. I don't know if it's how I hold the stylus or what.

Don't have it and can't get it.

Still, thanks for the heads up!

Problem is, I'm not really holding it in my right hand because I can't reach across to the screen.
Also on 3DS Forums and Racketboy. I am not an iodit.

You know you can re-configure the aim instead of a stylus, but instead for the buttons a, b, x, y.

This is how I've naturally held the DS ever since I got it.(It's not as uncomfortable as it sounds.)

Use your left hand to hold the system normaly.

Place the bottem right corner of the system in the palm of your right hand.

Place your pinkie finger on the R button.

Use your other fingers to hold the stylus.

I assumed everyone did this.
It wasn't until I started seeing people complain about having to use one hand on certain games that I even realized how I was holding it.

EDIT
Or You can simply place your pinkie on the back side of the system. (This is how My brother holds it, You may find this slightly more comfortable.)
