"- Nintendo likes the name Wii U and wants to keep it, but apparently someone or some company woke up really late in the game and has been giving them trademark issues about using the letter U in the name. Because of this Nintendo have been thinking of a Plan B but I was told that it’s rare for Nintendo lose a legal battle. Whatever the outcome, Nintendo really like the name Wii and want to make sure it’s somehow part of the final name. At E3 we’ll see whatever gets settled upon over the next two months.
- The recent “rumors” about the Wii U being weaker than PS3 and 360? Apparently, they are far from the truth and Nintendo isn’t happy with the ‘analyst’ that had a vendetta against them enough to spread false rumors. The rumors apparently have scared off investors and downgraded Nintendo’s stock rating. Investors are waiting until E3 to have a better idea of what lies in store for the Wii U rather than buying in advance to E3 to have a leg up for when the hype begins to soar."
- If they like the name Wii so much and want it to stay I hope at least they change it to Super Wii
- I'm happy Nintendo is mad about the recent false rumors, that will make them want to proof to the haters the Wii U is much more powerful then current HD consoles.

- Instead of Super Wii, they could call it Wii 2. Both names would clear up any confusion as to whether it is a new console or just a controller. For the record, I'm not a fan of either of those names.
- (Assuming this update is accurate) I'm glad to hear Nintendo is upset with this "far from the truth" information. I am also glad that they havn't acted brashley based on that information. So far, they've kept their cool, issued a statement that is true to Nintendo's philosophy, and seem to be waiting for their E3 presentation to be their giant middle finger to the liars.

-It would be bad actully if they called it Wii 2 because people could think it's 2 gens behind the PS4 and that was the main reason Microsoft did not call the Xbox 360 the Xbox 2 because people might of thought the PS3 was better, so I think Super Wii is the best if they keep Wii in the title

Hi, my name is Alph. I live on a planet named Koppai. I am famous for saving my planet from starvation. My best friends are Brittany and Captain Olimar, NOT Captain Charlie. I like surfing the KopNet and playing Kopetball.

Very good point, I had not considered that. Has anyone considered that PS4 might not be PS4? If I'm not mistaken, the number 4 is unlucky in Japanese culture. The number 4 is pronounced, "shi", which is the same pronounciation of death.

Hmm I think PS4 would be a great name pairs off with PS "Vita" nicely . Death and life and life and death.Very good point, I had not considered that. Has anyone considered that PS4 might not be PS4? Glad to hear that Nintendo isn't taking these rumours lightly. I'd like it if they came out and said something though. Even just a simple confirmation saying "Yes, Wii U is a powerful, next-gen system" would be MORE than enough to shut the PS360 fanboys up.
As for the name, I really don't care at this point. Wii U is probably one of the better ones they could have chosen. "Super Wii" just sounds really kiddie and childish IMO. If they want to go for a more retro vibe, then calling it the "Ultra NES" or something would be better.
