Im a bit surprised though i thought this would be announced closer to e3Looking forward to April 16, then.

CONFIRMED: The player will take control of Prophet/Alcatraz from Crysis 2. The enviroment in New York City, but it is no longer the urban jungle of the first game and instead it is an actual jungle now. The area is split into 7 different areas each with there own theme. The game will release for PC and Consoles at year 2013. So we can expect a Wii U release and a release of some game at E3 this year.

Kind of disappointed they're sticking with New York in the next installment. But then again, I don't know how Crytek will change up the scenery other than going to the arctic or the desert, which I don't know if they will properly display the CryEngine's ability all that well. EA refer to this sequel as a "sandbox" title and since New York is ravaged by vegetation with some alien ecosystem, it could open up more possiiblities with that direction.
