The thing is though people buy Nintendo Systems FOR NINTENDO GAMES. While AC3 and such will be popular WE WANT MARIO. To be honest I didnt see that coming. I thought it would be a year or 2 before we got a Mario game on Wii U. I 100% support this. 1st Party > 3rd Party.
It is possible that the games could overshadow the rest launch line up for the system. If Nintendo markets the 3rd party games correctly this problem could be avoided.
Well Miyamoto said he wants to see an F-Zero game on Wii U...but unless they are keeping it a secret from Miyamoto then it hasnt even started yet so it wont be a launch game. Metroid also doubtful as a launch title. Miyamoto confirmed Mario Launch Title. Pikmin 3 will be a launch title all though I have little to no intrest in Pikman. And Zelda wont be for a year or 2 at best and thats assuming they have been working on a Zelda game for a few years now in secret. They could have started work on it as soon as the Wii U was first being made.
As long as Nintendo doesn't release Zelda,pikman, Mario,metroid and f zero all at launch third parties will be fine.
