His attitude towards Brazil is logical and inspiring (I picked Brazil to send my fake sign company to in an International Marketing course I took for the same reasons he mentions, ha!).
And his attitude about the competition is perfect.

You should've been paying attention when it happened then, or if you searched threads you've posted in, you'd see you replied in the same thread the video was in.Wah wah!
What if other people haven't seen it? (I have, though. It's good).
Thank you, Fig.

Dunno, it's not really the same topic, just the same video. This should be locked, as there is already a thread with the same topic.
The OP is more focused toward the Brazilian marketplace's future, the older thread was geared directly and specifically at copying.
So while the video content's the same, the topic of discussion is different.

However, if a new thread is irrelevant then people will not comment on it. Bumping it by commenting on it is not a good idea if you don't think it should exist. It will die anyways if no one finds it interesting. The only time it would be necessary to lock/merge threads would be if seperate and active threads all ready exist.

This one is named
Reggie on 3rd Parties, Gaming Market, and Copying Nintendo.
Basically the same thing.

Those are just thread titles, you have to look at the content. It's a discussion board, so the OP sets up what we should discuss and we voice our opinions in line with that. The topic name is
Reggie Fils-Aime Thoughts on Sony and Microsoft Copying Wii U
This one is named
Reggie on 3rd Parties, Gaming Market, and Copying Nintendo.
Basically the same thing.
The other thread is just a video dump with the spin of "lols, reggie sez dis about copycatters."
IKR, he should report it and not post in it if he thinks it's a dupe.I was simply sharing a video I didn't recall seeing on this board that I thought some of you guys would enjoy. I didn't realize I was going to alarm the thread police.

I don't think it's a dupe.

Thanks, Nollog. I don't think I've directly interacted with you often, but I've read your posts and respect your opinions.

This topic is quite okay, I don't believe I've watched it within the last 3 months or something. It's a not really as big as a problem that people make it out to be. What can be an old and recurring annoyance to you, could be enlightening news to others, and as such, doesn't necessarily warrant a locking or merging depending on the circumstance.
Among other things, if new people start getting their threads locked on day one for being a duplicate, they aren't going to be a very active member. And then you'll have them screaming crap about this site on other forums for being asses (more specifically, other sites they've been on a large amount of time). That said, even experienced forum goers can easily do this. Not everyone uses the search systems. Apart from it being more convenient to check the first page or two of topics in a subforum, a lot (no seriously, a lot) of forums have bung search systems.
It's also a good video that shows how not to become a stool in the video gaming industry.
... Thank you for listening to my speech.
